I like to think that my niche is knitting in the back country and knitting in the back seat during road trips, but that's mostly where I knit. As far as what I knit, I'm all about utility and gravitate toward clothing. I like the longer process of making common necessities like sweaters and scarves by hand and wearing them proudly. It's one small way to show my peers how some independence from the frivolously consumptive clothing industry is possible without sacrificing comfort, low cost, quality, or style.
When I'm crafting but not knitting, I write knitting patterns and dabble in embroidery, quilting, and sewing projects. When I'm not crafting, you may find me outside on an adventure or spending time with friends and family.
I started The Craft Lizard in September 2012 to share my crafty adventures and finished creations on a monthly basis. Thank you for all your support and interest in what I do!
